After a lot of research and meeting with different breeders, our first Vizsla, “Copper”, joined our family in the spring of 1993. If you are new to the Vizsla breed I encourage you to research the breed to ensure the Vizsla is the “right” dog for your home. Since Copper came into my life as a pet, there has been no turning back for me. In 1995, I adopted a rescue GSP, “Gretyl”. Copper and Grytel have been best pals since. Shortly after moving to Trenton, Nova Scotia, Reba joined our family. Reba has since obtained her Conformation Championship, Rally-O Novice and Advanced titles, as well as our obedience Companion Dog title. We will continue to work and play in the Rally and Obedience rings. Two years later River came into our home. At 7 ½ months River obtained his Conformation Championship. River was from the first Vizsla litter in Nova Scotia to be shown with dewclaws and undocked tail and finished his first year as the #3 Vizsla in Canada. River continued to do well in the show ring and for 2012 and 2013 was the #1 Vizsla in Canada. Before River’s second birthday he obtained his Grand Champion and Grand Champion Excellent titles. The next year he earned his Field Dog Junior title. Still being very active in showing Vizslas, two years after River we added Amber. In her first show she not only won breed, a group third, best puppy in group, but also, Best Puppy in Show. At 8 months Amber obtained her Conformation Championship title. In June of 2014 she completed the requirements for her CFC Championship in one weekend. Amber obtained her Field Dog Junior title where she earned Highest FDJ Score in her last 2 tests! We will continue to work towards our Field Dog title and Comformation shows.
